ARMY MUSEUM
The Army Museum is the result of the merger of various Military Museums created throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries.. Its nucleus is formed by the Museum of Artillery and Engineers.
It is one of the oldest Spanish museums and responds to the existing interest in Europe at the time for the conservation and dissemination of objects related to military history..
At that moment,their collections had a didactic objective,and one of its main objectives was to support the formation of
soldiers, providing complementary education to the Military Academies
HISTORY
In 1827, the Royal Military Museum was divided into two sections: the Museum of Artillery and the Museum of Engineers. with its own organization and operation.
In the last third of the nineteenth century. a stage of creation of new Military Museums began. This is how the Intendancy Museum (1885). the Cavalry Museum (1889) and the Infantry Museum (1908).
In 1932 the Military Historical Museum was created. which included sections for the four Arms and the Quartermaster and Military Health Corps.
Nowadays. The Army Museum is based in the Alcázar of Toledo,which has implied not only a geographical change, but
restructuring of the exhibitions and the approach of the museum. in line with current trends.

SCHEDULE:
From 10:00 a 17:00 HOURS.
The door of the Museum closes at 16:30 hours. The evacuation of the rooms will begin 15 minutes before closing time. The Museum will remain closed every Monday. will also close: The days 1 and 6 from January, the 1 of May, the 24, 25 and 31 December and those days that due to some special circumstance or relevant event are determined appropriate, communicating to the public in due time.
RATES:
The general price of admission to visit the permanent exhibition is 5,00 euros.
A reduction of the 50% on the general price of entry and with the due accreditation to:
